Brendan, Danny, and myself drove up to Stone Barns Center in Tarrytown on Saturday morning.  The Stone Barns center is the farm that sourced the famed Blue Hill at Stone Barns restaurant and the Blue Hill Cafe.

Reservations are hard to come by at the restaurant, so we decided to have lunch at the cafe and shop its Farmers Market.  It was absolutely brilliant, the weather was gorgeous, and the food we purchased was out of this world. We took home some farm fresh eggs, ham steak, bacon, and a bundle of fresh mint.  That bundle of mint is definitely going into my homemade lavender syrup.

The cafe served some of the best croissant I’ve ever had outside of France and the potato onion bread that we took home was soft, flavorful, and perfectly crusty all at the same time.

Seriously can’t wait to come back in July for some berry pickings!
