a daring adventure…

at Montage Laguna Beach, March 2012

recent happenings…

my favorite girlfriend and her new husband visited and took me on a Brighton Beach adventure
committed to pilates and yoga (again) and couldn’t be happier about this decision
spent a lot of time on the roof shooting tenth avenue
released the location of this blog to the world on twitter.
finally completed the dreaded jury duty (admittedly, it wasn’t that bad)
made many fun purchases like my Furla tote and the new ipad (so happy, and so broke)
window shopping for a new apartment with Bren
plotting my next beach trip (thinking about Anguilla…)
and dinner at one of my favorite spots with my favorite Paris and NYC hoteliers

all in all… a really lovely, but very busy few weeks - life is good.

i love it when they visit, if only they would stay forever

happy birthday, love…

they make me happy…

missing Parrot Cay…

Lately, I’m seriously jonesing for white sand beach, blue water, and clear blue sky. And, perhaps flipping through images from last year’s surprise birthday trip for Brendan didn’t help.

I have a serious soft spot for Parrot Cay and secretly plotting my way back.

862 10 Ave

one day, we’ll miss today.  we’ll reminisce about the sunsets,
the creaky floors, and the stairs to heaven
we’ll talk about the days gone by and how simple life was
and one day, we’ll celebrate these ordinary days
for what they really were

canyons of light

Imagine a place where wind carves rock into canyons of light. Imagine a place where time is told in the stratigraphy of stone. Imagine a place where ravens fly through arches of petrified sand, carved by the wind. This is the erosional landscape of the Colorado Plateau, where Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado converge in a region known as the Four Corners, and where the artist’s palette of red rock suggests you’re closer to Mars than to Earth. In the harsh, arid heart of the American Southwest, one drinks deeply from this wellspring of wonder.

Mr. Meyers

In love with everything about this set.  The whites, the bright sun, and of course him.
